Sharing and moving apps
Share one app with someone, or move an app to another workspace.
Share one app
To give someone a single app, open it in the editor and press the faces at the top: they show who is on the app. On the dashboard of a personal workspace, Share an app in the workspace menu does the same.
The Share window has:
- Invite by email, with Can edit, Can view or Admin.
- Copy invite link: one link for this app, with the role it gives beside it (you can change the role without changing the address), and buttons to send it with Share…, WhatsApp, Telegram or by email. It works for 14 days, then the next one you copy is a new address. Stop this link asks once more (Yes, stop it or Keep it) and then ends it at once. The window says when a link is out even before you copy it.
- Given this app only: who is on the app already, where you can change their role or remove them. People who have not accepted yet show as waiting with the date, with Cancel. An invitation that ran out says so, with Send again.
- In a team workspace, This app or Whole workspace: whether they get this app only, or join the team and every app in it. A guest invited to the whole workspace needs Business.
Only an owner or an admin of the app can share it, and the app has to be saved into a workspace first.
Anyone holding an invite link gets in with its role. Send it to a person, never to a public post.
Sharing one app works on every plan. A guest sees that app and nothing else you have made.
Move an app to another workspace
In the dashboard, open the app's menu and choose Move to workspace. Pick a workspace, marked Personal or Team, and press Move.
- Only an owner or admin of the workspace the app is in can move it out. You can move it into a workspace where you can make apps. Into a personal workspace it can go only if you made the app.
- People in the new workspace can open it with the role they have there. People in the old one lose it, unless it was shared with them on its own.
- Its connectors follow the new workspace's connector settings.
- Whoever made it still pays for its builds. Its live site and address stay as they are, and the app leaves its folder because folders belong to a workspace.
- An app in the trash has to be restored first.
- The move is written in the audit log of both workspaces.
If there is no other workspace you can make apps in, the window offers Make a team workspace.
