Manage your app

Agent integrations

Let the people who use your app reach it from ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, and read or change their own data in it by asking. The app's MCP link, who can use it, its tools, and how people connect.

Agent integrations let the people who use your app connect it to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, and read or change their own data in it by asking: "what are my bookings next week?", "add a client called Ana Pop". Open Manage, then Agent integrations.

They sign in with their account in your app, so an assistant can never do more than they could in the app themselves.

This page is about your app's own users. To build and change your apps from an AI assistant yourself, see Connect an AI assistant.

Turn it on

Open to AI assistants offers the app to assistants. Off, nothing about the app is offered. Assistants connect to the published app, so publish it first: a page says so until you do. An app that is not published yet goes live with the next publish. Only people who can edit the app can change these settings, and each change is written in the workspace audit log.

Your MCP link is the address people give their assistant. Copy it and share it with the people who use your app: each one connects with their own account.

Who can use it

ChoiceWhat it means
Sign-in requiredEvery tool needs the person's account in your app. Recommended.
Public readsAnyone can read what the app already shows to everyone. Changing anything still needs an account.

A private app always needs an account. Tools that need no account are marked No account needed when Public reads is on.

Tools

The tools are what your app's own code does with its data, offered to assistants: list the orders, add a booking, change a note. Each one says whether it is Read-only or May change data, and you can switch off any you do not want used.

They are read from the app when you publish. After a change to the app, publish again to update them: the page tells you when the app has changed since. An app that keeps no data has no tools yet.

What kind of tools there are

A tool is one operation on one collection of the app's data, and only an operation the app's own code performs. A collection the app lists gets a list tool, one it reads one record from gets a get tool, and one it adds to, changes or deletes from gets an add, change or delete tool. Nothing the app never does is offered, and an app offers at most 60 tools. Every tool runs as the person who connected, so an assistant can read or change no more than that person could in the app.

How people connect

The page gives the steps to pass on, with your app's name in them:

AssistantSteps
ClaudeSettings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it, paste the link, press Connect and sign in with the app account.
ChatGPTPlugins, then Add, then Add custom MCP server. Name it, paste the link, press Create and sign in with the app account.
Claude Code, Cursor, VS CodeAdd it as a remote MCP server with the link. For Claude Code there is a command to copy.

Connected

The people who have connected an assistant. Disconnect everyone takes access away from every assistant at once; people can connect again with the link.

Each request an assistant makes uses one integration credit of your plan, like the app's own requests. It is counted under Usage, and what they change counts as records written, like any change made in the app.
