MCP, API and Telegram
Connect an AI assistant
Use Setherion from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code: list your apps, change them and publish them from a chat.
Setherion has an MCP server, the standard way AI assistants use other services. Once it is connected, you can ask your assistant things like "change the button colour on my coffee shop site" or "publish my calculator", and it does them in your Setherion account.
You sign in to Setherion once and press Allow. There is no key to copy.
The same steps are in Setherion too: open Settings, then AI assistants and MCP, and pick your assistant.
What the assistant can do
| Tool | What it does | Credits |
|---|---|---|
list_projects | Lists your apps, with their addresses if they are published, and finds one by its name or description. | None |
edit_project | Changes an app from an instruction, the same way the editor does. | Same as in the editor |
edit_status | Says whether a long edit is still running, done, or stopped. | None |
publish_project | Puts the saved app online at its address. | None |
store_guide | Says what the app still needs for Google Play and the App Store, and walks you through the steps, Easy or Native, one at a time. | None |
store_privacy_answers | Gives the answers for Google Play's Data safety and the App Store's App Privacy forms, read from the app's code. | None |
write_store_listing | Writes the store page: the name, the descriptions, the subtitle and the keywords, within each store's limits, for you to copy. | A few, on Pro and up |
The store guide can be asked about the Easy way or the Native way, and the privacy answers need one of the two named. Writing the store page is not saved anywhere, so copy it from the reply. The screenshots, the PWA Builder ZIP and the project download are done in the Publish window, not by an assistant. The three store tools follow Publish to app stores. When the guide finds something missing, like a privacy policy page, the assistant can add it with edit_project once you agree, since an edit costs credits.
An edit is saved in your app as soon as it finishes, but it is not online until the app is published. Ask the assistant to publish it, or press Publish in Setherion.
The same actions are also available as a plain web API for your own scripts: see the API Reference.
The address
Every assistant connects to the same address:
https://www.setherion.com/api/mcpKeep the www. The address without it redirects, and a redirect drops the sign-in, so every request after it would be refused.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects the same way, from its Plugins page. It works on a free ChatGPT account too.
Open Plugins
In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar.
Add Setherion
Click Add, then Add custom MCP server. Name it Setherion and paste the address above.
Choose OAuth if it asks how to sign in, then click Create. A Setherion page opens: sign in if asked, then press Allow.
Then ask in a new chat: "List my Setherion apps". ChatGPT can do everything in the table above, and an edit it makes spends your credits the same way. More on the ChatGPT page.
Other assistants
Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP, with OAuth sign-in, connects with the same address and the same steps.
An assistant that can only send a fixed header can use an API key instead. Make one in Settings, then API keys, and send it with every request:
Authorization: Bearer sth_...For Claude Code that is:
claude mcp add --transport http setherion https://www.setherion.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer sth_..."A key works until you revoke it, so keep it as secret as a password.
Signing in and disconnecting
When you press Allow, the Setherion page shows which assistant is asking and where it will send you back. Only allow a connection you started yourself.
The assistant then stays connected. It renews its own access in the background, as long as you use it at least once every 30 days.
To disconnect one, open Settings, then AI assistants and MCP, and press Disconnect under Connected assistants. It stops working straight away.
While an edit runs
An edit takes from one to several minutes, and the assistant shows that it is still working. A big one can take longer than an assistant waits. After about a minute the assistant is told the edit is still running, and it checks back with edit_status until it is done.
The edit carries on in Setherion even if the assistant stops waiting or you close it. To stop an edit part way, open the app in Setherion and press Stop on the card that shows it running. Nothing in the app changes, and the credits it held come back.
A very large change can come back too large to land in one step. Then the app is left exactly as it was, nothing is charged, and the assistant is told that nothing changed and why. Ask for the change in two or three smaller steps.
