Your account
Your account
Sign in and password, two-step sign-in and recovery codes, your profile and public profile, rules for every app, notifications, API keys, plan and billing, withdrawing, and deleting your account: what each is and where it lives.
Your account is you: how you sign in, how you appear to other people, the rules every app of yours follows, your plan and your keys. It is separate from a workspace, which holds apps and the people who work on them.
Where to find things
Open the account menu. On a computer it is your name and picture at the bottom of the left menu on the dashboard. On a phone it is your picture at the top right, and the menu opens as a sheet from the bottom, with your plan card, credits and a Usage button at the top of it.

| Change your name, picture, handle or bio | Account menu, My profile |
| Change your password, or add or remove a way to sign in | Settings, then Account, under Sign in |

Account settings in the menu opens Settings on the Account page. The pages on the left are Account, then the workspace pages (General, People, Plan and credits, Audit log, Connector settings), then AI assistants and MCP, Telegram, API keys and Connectors.
Signing in
Creating an account
On the sign up page, type your email and continue, then choose a password. Setherion sends a confirmation link to that address: open it, on whatever device you read your mail on, and you are in. If the address has a typo in it, go back a step and correct it before anything is sent.
Where they are switched on, Continue with Google, Continue with GitHub and Continue with Apple sign you up and in without a password.
Changing or setting your password
In Settings, then Account, under Sign in, press Change password. If you signed up with Google, GitHub or Apple and have no password yet, the button says Set password, and setting one lets you also sign in with your email.
Use at least 8 characters, and type it twice. The eye shows what you typed, and Suggest a strong password fills both boxes with a long one and shows it so you can save it in a password manager.
If you forget your password
On the sign in page, type your email, continue to the password step and press Forgot your password?. An email arrives with a link to set a new password. If it does not, check your spam folder, and wait for the countdown on the button before sending it again.
Two-step sign-in
With two-step sign-in on, a password alone is not enough: every sign-in also asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, including a sign-in with Google, GitHub or Apple.
In Settings, then Security, press Turn on. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password and Authy all work), type the code it shows and press Turn on again. The app lists the account as Setherion, with your email. Right after, Setherion shows your recovery codes: see below.
- Move to a new phone asks for a code from the phone you use now, then shows a QR code for the new one. The old phone stops working once the new one has given its first code.
- Turn off goes back to the password alone, and your recovery codes stop working.
Recovery codes
Recovery codes are for the day you lose your phone. You get ten when you turn two-step sign-in on, and they are shown only then: press Download or Copy, keep them somewhere other than your phone, such as a password manager, and press I have saved them.
Each code lets you in once. On the two-step sign-in screen, press Use a recovery code instead and type one. Once you are in, two-step sign-in is off, your other codes stop working, and Setherion emails you to say a code was used. Turn it on again with your new phone, and you get new codes.
Settings, then Security, shows how many codes you have left. Make new codes asks for a code from your authenticator app first, then shows ten new ones, and the old ones stop working.
If you lose your phone and your recovery codes, write to support@setherion.com from your account's address. Once we know it is you, we turn two-step sign-in off.
Google, GitHub and Apple
Under Sign in, the list of other ways in shows each provider that is switched on, with Connect or Disconnect. Connect one to add another way into the same account.
Setherion will not let you remove your only way in. Connect another method first. If a provider says its account is already attached to a different Setherion account, sign in to that one and disconnect it there first.
Signing out
The last row of the account menu is Sign out.
Your profile
My profile in the account menu opens your own profile page. Press Edit profile to change it, and Save changes when you are done.
- Name and handle. The handle is 3 to 30 letters, digits or hyphens, and the page tells you whether it is free. Your public profile lives at
/u/your-handle. You are asked to choose a handle the first time you open the page. - Picture and banner. Upload your own, or pick one of the robot pictures and banner gradients.
- Bio, country and city.
- Links. Instagram, X, GitHub and LinkedIn, and any other links you add.
- Show my email. Off unless you turn it on.
Public or private
In Settings, then Account, under Profile, Visibility is either Public (anyone can view your profile and apps) or Private (your profile is hidden from everyone else). It saves the moment you pick it.
Which apps are on your profile
Published apps are listed on your profile page. Manage apps on your profile lets you hide or show each one. In an app, Manage, then Settings, then Show on my public profile does the same for that app. See Settings.
Templates and activity
Templates you have shared are listed on your profile. An Activity graph shows when you have been building, and a switch on your own profile turns it off for other people. The page shows when you joined.
Knowledge
Settings, then Account, under Knowledge, is a box for anything Setherion should keep in mind every time it builds or changes something for you: your company, your brand colours, the language to write in, what you never want. For example: "I build for dental clinics in Manchester. Write every app in British English. Brand blue is #0E7490."
It is sent with every build and every change in every app, and it is the only rule that reaches the first request of a brand new app. It holds up to 2,000 characters, so keep it to what matters. Press Save. Rules for one app go in that app's AI Controls, and win if they disagree.
Preferences
Under Preferences, each choice saves the moment you make it.
- Generation complete sound. A chime when a build finishes: Off, First only or Always.
- Notify me when a build finishes. A notification from your browser when a build finishes while you are in another tab. It works on this device only, and your browser asks permission the first time. If the browser has blocked notifications for the site, the page says so.
- Chat suggestions. Follow-up suggestions after a build, on or off.
Setherion also emails you about things that need you: a confirmation for each support ticket you send, the confirmation of a withdrawal, and a heads-up when your published apps use 80% and 100% of their integration credits. Payment emails come from Stripe.
Plan, credits and billing
Settings, then Plan and credits, shows this month's credits, your connector calls, the days they went on, what you spent them on, which models, and where every movement came from. When someone else spends your credits in a workspace, they are listed there too.
Everything else about money is on Pricing:
- Change plan and Buy credits, with the price shown before you confirm.
- Manage subscription opens Stripe's own page, for your card, your invoices and cancelling.
For 14 days after a purchase, Withdraw from contract here is in Settings, under Billing.
The rules, with what is refunded and what is not, are in Plans and credits.
API keys
A key lets a program or an AI assistant act as you: read your apps, edit them with your credits, and publish them. Keep it as secret as your password.
Making, using and revoking a key
Open Settings, then API keys, give the key a name that says where it will be used (for example "laptop" or "Claude Code") and press Create key. The key is shown once: copy it before you press Done. If you lose it, revoke it and make a new one.
The list shows each key's start, when it was last used and, for a revoked one, the date. Revoke stops a key working at once. You can have 10 active keys at a time.
A key cannot change your account, plan or billing, and cannot make or revoke keys. See Authentication for how to use one.
For an AI assistant that signs in for itself, with no key to paste, see MCP: connect an AI assistant. For the bot, see Telegram.
Leaving
Deleting your account
In Settings, then Account, the last card is Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm and press the button. It cannot be undone.
- Your apps, templates, connectors, profile and uploaded files are deleted, and your sign in with them.
- A paid plan is cancelled at the same moment, and nothing more is charged. If Setherion cannot stop the subscription, nothing is deleted and you are told to try again or to cancel it first from Manage subscription on Pricing.
Before you do it, export what you want to keep: the code (on a paid plan, to GitHub, GitLab or a ZIP) and your apps' data. If you bought a plan or credits in the last 14 days and want the unused part refunded, withdraw first in Settings, under Billing, because withdrawing needs your account.
Leaving a workspace instead
To stop being part of a team without losing your account, leave the workspace: see Workspaces.
Deleting one app
An app you delete goes to the trash for 30 days, and can be put back. See Your projects.
