Glossary

The words Setherion uses, in plain language, each with the page that explains it.

The words Setherion and these docs use, in alphabetical order. Each entry is short and ends with the page that explains it properly.

Account

You, on Setherion. One account signs in everywhere and works in every workspace you belong to. It is separate from a workspace, which holds apps and the people who work on them. See Your account.

Agent integrations

A part of Manage that lets the people who use your app connect it to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, and read or change their own data in it by asking. They sign in with their account in your app, so an assistant can never do more than they could. See Agent integrations.

API key

A key that lets a program or an AI assistant act as you: read your apps, change them with your credits and publish them. You make it in Settings, it is shown once, and you can have 10 active at a time. It cannot change your account or your billing. See Your account.

App

One project: its chat, its preview, its code, and its address once it is published. The credits for building and changing it come from the account of the person who created it. See Welcome to Setherion.

App role

What an account in your published app is to that app. An ordinary account reads and changes only its own records. A team member reads and changes every record, which is what an admin screen or a shared CRM needs. You set it with the Team member switch under Cloud, then Users. It is not a workspace role, which is about the people who build the app. See Users and Working as a team.

Auto (model)

The first choice in the model menu: Setherion picks the model for each request, within what your plan includes. What it picks depends on your plan and your build mode, and a model you pick by name is used as picked. See AI models.

Automatic fixes

When someone using your published app hits an error, Setherion can read it, write the fix and publish again without waiting for you. It is also called auto-heal. It is off until you turn it on in Settings or in the app's errors window, it is on a paid plan, and it costs no credits. It fixes only errors that happened since you last published. See Settings and The errors window.

Build mode

How much Seth builds: Seth, Power Seth or Max Seth, chosen in the menu behind the Build button, where it is also called the agent mode. An app keeps the mode it was built in. Not to be confused with Build, Chat and Plan, which is about what happens when you send a message. See Build modes.

Build, Chat and Plan

The three ways to send a message from the box. Build makes the change. Chat talks about the app and never touches its code. Plan asks a few questions first and then changes the app. See Build, Chat and Plan.

Cloud

The backend every app gets, with nothing to set up: its database, forms, accounts, letters, AI requests, secrets, logs and usage. You look after it in Manage, then Cloud. See Cloud.

Collection

A named list of records an app has saved, such as bookings, orders or notes. By default a record is read and changed only by the person who saved it, and by your team. See Database.

Connector

A link between your apps and a service you already use, like Stripe, OpenAI, Resend or Google Sheets. You connect it once on your account and choose which apps use it. A published app calls the service through Setherion, so a secret key never reaches a visitor. See Connectors.

Credits

What Setherion is priced in. Building and changing an app spends them, and so do a Chat reply, an AI image or a video. Publishing and hosting do not. A price is shown before you press for AI images and video, an SEO review, game art, imports, and Power Seth and Max Seth. Each message in the chat shows what it cost in its menu. See Credits.

Custom connector

A service you describe yourself: any API on the internet that takes a key. Once it is created, your apps use it like any other connector, through Setherion, with the key kept on its servers. See Custom connectors.

Custom domain

Your own address for a published app, like coffeeshop.com, in place of the free setherion.app one. It needs a paid plan and two records that you add where you bought the domain. See Custom domains.

Easy way

One of the two ways to put an app in Google Play and the App Store. Your published app is wrapped as a phone app, with no code. It is on every plan, and it does not do ads or in-app purchases. The other way is the Native project. See Publish to app stores.

Edit in place

The Edit button above the preview. Click a word and type to rewrite it, or click an element to change its colours, spacing, picture and more, with no request to write. The tools cost no credits. Edit Element, which rewrites one element from a sentence, uses a few. See Preview.

Export

Taking your code out of Setherion: as a ZIP, a GitHub repository or a GitLab repository on a paid plan, and your data as SQL or CSV on every plan. See Export your code.

Freeze Files

Files Setherion is not allowed to change. Freeze the page you have got exactly right and no later change can undo it. It is in AI Controls, and it protects a file from Setherion, not from you. See AI Controls.

Game art

The panel beside a game where its look and sound are changed: the characters, backgrounds and items of a 2D game, drawn with AI or uploaded by you, the models of a 3D game, and every game's sounds, settings and high scores. A 2D game plays with silhouettes until its characters are drawn, and each button shows its price first. See Game art.

Hidden test

Every build and every change is opened out of sight before you see it. If the app crashes it is sent back and repaired, up to three times, at no cost to you, and the status line says Testing the app. See Publish to the web.

Import

Bringing in an app that exists elsewhere: from GitHub, a ZIP, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Base44 or a spreadsheet, or a design from Figma or Canva. Code is rebuilt here, not copied. See Import an app.

Integration credits

A second allowance, for what your published apps do while people use them: calls to connected services, emails the app sends and records it writes. Reading data costs nothing. At 150% of the allowance new writes, calls and invitations stop until next month, and the pages are still served. See Credits.

Knowledge

Standing rules for every app you build, kept in Settings, under Account: your company, your brand colours, the language to write in, what you never want. It holds up to 2,000 characters, and an app's own custom instructions win if they disagree. See Your account.

Letter

An email an app sends on its own, such as the confirmation of an account, a password reset, an invitation, a sign-in link or the receipt for a form. Letters go out in the language of the app, and each one counts as an integration credit. See Emails.

Manage

Everything about an app that is not its code, next to Preview and Code at the top of the editor: Overview, Analytics, Cloud, Payments, Integrations, Agent integrations, Domains, Security, SEO and Settings. See Overview.

Max Seth

Power Seth followed by a completion pass: the finished app is held against the list of what a product of its kind cannot do without, what was skipped is built, and the screens get their finish (motion, spacing, empty and error states, wording). It is on Business. See Build modes.

MCP

Short for Model Context Protocol, the standard way AI assistants use other services. Setherion has its own MCP server, so you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code and build, change and publish your apps from a chat. See Connect an AI assistant.

MCP server

A service's tools, offered to Setherion's AI while it builds your apps, such as your notes in Notion or the issues in Linear. You add one on the Connectors page and choose, tool by tool, to Allow, Ask or Deny. It is for building: an app never calls it. See MCP servers.

Milestone

A version you chose to keep. History clears out older versions to keep the thirty most recent, but a milestone is never cleared. Mark one with the flag before a big change. See History.

Native project

The whole app as a phone project, in a ZIP or in a GitHub repository, to build in Android Studio and Xcode. It is the way to real ads and in-app purchases, and it is for developers. It is on Pro and up. See Native project.

Pick mode

A pointer button that appears beside Split view. With it on, clicking in the preview does not use the app: it opens the file that makes the element, at its line, ready to attach to your next message. Switch it off to use the preview normally. See Code.

Plan

Two things. Your plan is Free, Pro or Business (Enterprise is agreed with you), and it decides your credits, models, domains and more: see Plans and credits. Plan is also one of the ways to send a message, which asks a few questions and shows a map before it builds: see Build, Chat and Plan.

Power Seth

The agent mode that builds the whole product, not only the parts you named: the screens and states a real product cannot do without, content in quantity and motion with a purpose. It costs more than Seth, and it is on Pro and up. See Build modes.

Preview

Your app, running beside the chat, as it will work once it is published. A bar above it holds Edit, Theme, the size menu and undo. See Preview.

Private app

A published app that not everyone can open. With Workspace visibility only signed-in people from your workspace can, and with Custom those people and the ones the app is shared with. It is on Business, for apps on their setherion.app address, and a private app is hidden from search engines. See Publish to the web.

Publish

Putting an app online at its own address on setherion.app. It is free on every plan, takes seconds and can be done as often as you like. Publishing again replaces what is online with what you have now. See Publish to the web.

Row access rule

A rule that says who may read and who may change the records of one collection, called Access rules on the Cloud page. Without one, a record is read and changed only by the person who saved it, and by your team. You can open a collection to anyone, require sign-in, or limit it to your team. See Who may see what.

Secret

A key for a service that has no connector, such as a weather service, SMS or a client's own API. It is stored encrypted on the server and sent only to the address saved with it. It can be replaced or deleted, but not read, and you ask for it in the chat by its name. See Keys and secrets.

Sending domain

A domain of your own that an app's letters come from, so a confirmation arrives from noreply@notify.yourcompany.com and not from "your app via Setherion". Pro includes one and Business five. It is not a custom domain, which decides where people open the app. See Emails.

Seth

The name of Setherion's builder, the AI that writes your app. It is also the standard agent mode, which builds what you ask for, on every plan. See Build modes.

Skill

A capability you ask Setherion to build into an app, like sign-in, card payments, a map or a PDF button. You tick it instead of describing it. There are 18 built in, and you can write your own: instructions you save once and run on any of your apps. See Skills.

Split view

The preview shown beside the code, on a computer, while Code is open. The chat narrows to make room and comes back when you close it. See Code.

Take offline

Stops the live site at once and frees its address. The app stays in your projects, and publishing again brings it back, though a custom domain has to be connected again. It is under Manage, then Overview. See Overview.

Template

A finished app somebody published so others can start from it. Use Template gives you your own copy, with all its files, which you then change by asking. Every template is free, and any app of yours can become one. See Templates.

Theme

The colours and fonts the whole app uses, gathered on one panel above the preview. Change one and every place that uses it follows. A theme costs no credits, and the version before it is kept in History. See Preview.

Version

Every change to an app is kept as a version, named by what it did, and so is a safety copy made before each change. You can go back to any of them, and where you were is kept too. History keeps the thirty most recent, and your milestones. See History.

Workspace

Where you and the people you invite work. It holds apps and its members, each with a role: owner, admin, editor or viewer. Everyone has a personal workspace of their own, and team workspaces are on Business, with nothing charged for each person. See Workspaces.
