Who pays and settings
Who pays for a workspace, and its general settings.
Who pays
Building and changing an app spends the credits of the person who created the app, whoever is typing. So when someone works on an app you made, the credits are yours.
A spending limit caps how much of the workspace owner's credits one person may spend each month, on the apps the owner created. An app a member created is paid for from that member's own credits. Owners and admins set the limits in Settings, then People:
- Set a limit, above the list, applies to everyone you share with, including guests on a single app.
- The Spend limit column sets one for a single person, and shows what they have spent so far. Their own limit takes the place of the general one.
- Each person has their own limit; it is not shared between them. Remove limit takes it away.
Someone who reaches their limit is told so, and nothing is charged. They never see your balance or your plan's allowance.
How spending limits work
- A limit is a whole number of credits above zero, per month. To take it away, press Remove limit, not zero.
- The owner cannot be limited: the owner spends their own credits.
- The month is the owner's billing month. The person is told, for example, that they have used a number of the credits a month the workspace allows them, and to ask an admin to raise it.
- A guest on one app has no limit of their own, so the general one applies to them.
- If a person has more than one limit that applies, the largest wins, and no limit at all wins over any number.
- A repair of Setherion's own mistake, such as a build that crashed, is not held against the limit.
General
Settings, then General, holds what the workspace is:
- The name: press the pencil beside it to rename it.
- The picture: press it to choose another.
- Workspace ID, with Copy, to name the workspace when you write to us.
- Transfer ownership, for the owner, to hand the workspace to another member. It shows once the workspace has more than one member. You stay as an admin, and only the new owner can hand it back. Who pays does not change: each app is still paid for by the person who created it.
- Delete workspace, for the owner. Every app in it, including those other members made, moves to your personal workspace, so nothing is lost, but the team is gone and so is its audit log.
Owners and admins can change the name (up to 50 characters) and the picture. Your personal workspace can be renamed and given a picture too, but it cannot be handed over or deleted.
