PublishingPublish to app stores
Store screenshots
Make the pictures the stores ask for.
Both stores ask for pictures of the app, at sizes of their own. You make them in the editor, from the app itself.
Capture the screens
Press Start capturing. The preview turns into a phone, and a bar over it captures the screen on show. Move through the app the way a customer would and capture 2 to 8 screens. Use example data, not real customers.
Give them titles
Each picture can carry a short title above the screen, on a colour or a gradient of two. Change the order with the arrows.
Check the name, the icon and the banner
The same page holds the app's name and icon, as the phone and both stores will show them, and Google Play's wide banner, drawn for you from the name, the icon and one line you write under it.
Make the pictures
One ZIP holds every size: Google Play (1080 × 1920) and iPhone (1320 × 2868), iPad (2064 × 2752) unless you untick iPad too, the 1024 × 500 banner and Google Play's square store icon.
Google Play's picture is shorter than the phone in the editor, so while you capture for it, a dashed line shows where it ends. The screenshots cost no credits.
Capturing, step by step
Start capturing closes the window and turns the preview into a phone, with a bar at the bottom. It says how many screens you have of the 8 allowed. Capture takes the screen on show, and Done takes you back to the window. If the preview does not answer, reload it and try again. You need at least 2 screens, and 8 is the most a store takes.
The screens you capture are kept while the editor is open, not saved with the app.
Titles, colours and order
Each screen has a Title of up to 60 characters, filled in from the screen's own heading. Drag the pictures to reorder them on a computer, or use the arrows on each one. Capture more adds another while you are under 8.
The options are A title above each screen, iPad too, Colour, and Second colour for a gradient of two. With one colour the background deepens towards the bottom.
Making and downloading the pictures
Make the pictures draws every screen at every size in a cloud browser, and shows tabs for Google Play (1080 × 1920), iPhone (1320 × 2868) and iPad (2064 × 2752, unless you unticked iPad too). When a drawing has to wait for its turn the window says so. Changing a title or a colour afterwards redraws in your browser, with no new request. A day allows about 150 drawings per person, and one screen at one size is one drawing, so 8 screens at 3 sizes use 24.
Download for the stores gives one ZIP with a folder for Google Play and a folder for the App Store, numbered in order, with the banner, the Google Play icon and a README that says where each picture goes. It needs at least 2 screens.
